New Zealand Significance from World War 1
World war was a major significant event to New Zealanders due to the battle of Gallipoli was where New Zealanders showed their loyalty in protecting the motherland and also where New Zealanders found their national identity. World war one was a significant event due to all the lives lost. So many women took on roles that males had such as working in factories, becoming officers and also doing hard tough jobs. Women gained strength and smarts because as there were no men around they had to step up to provide for there families and that was why world war 1 was a significant event because it changed the lives of many females as well. World war one also blossumed many heroes and as rewards many soldiers who showed courage gained metals for their bravery.World war one as a significant event due to all the people who survived had bad memories and nightmares of all the days they spent in the war. Many were scarred for lives from gun bullets, burns, cuts, trench foot, diseases and also shell shock. All of these after effects made it difficult for families and the ones who lived because it was very painful for all the soldiers. Till this day world war one is significant event because it still relates to us today because all the soldiers who risked their lives back then gave us a opportunity to live so that we never have to experience what they had to. World war strengthened New Zealand and made everyone see their role in society. World one is a major significant event due to all the war memorials seen today because it had a huge impact on new zealand society such as communities, families an schools because all of them had at least members that they knew take part in the war. People honour them at their memorials by placing flowers on their grave to respect them that we have freedom. Medals were gained and deaths were loss but from world war one we know refer ourselves as kiwis as our identity because of world war one.
